European Cranberry Bush (Virbinum Opulus)
Height:Mature plants grow to be about 10 feet by 10 feet wide.
Leaves: Leaves are medium to dark green, opposite, ovate, and lobed. They grwo to about 3-4 inches in length.
Plant Distribution
Common Uses: The plants are often used as ornamentals that provide very adequate shade. More than one bush is often planted side-by-side others for wider shading. The plants are also very urban tolernat, making them ideal street plants.
Pollinators: Due to the plants' attractive flowers, birds and insects are ideal pollinators for this plant.
Fruit/Flower Info: Fruits usually bear in August, and green until ripened, then they turn a vibrant red. Following the spring, the fruits turn into drupey, raisin like fruits. The flowers on the bush are white, very showy, snowball like flowers referred to often as "rosum" like.
